Born and raised in the small town of Hilo, Hawaii. Keahi or “Ahi” as he has become known, fell into tattooing by chance. Ahi was introduced to his mentor and original tattoo artist Rodney(Ni) Powell, by his best friend, right around the time he was thinking of getting his first tattoo. While getting tattooed, Ni and Ahi got to talking and the rest is history. With his foundations in Polynesians and Japanese tattooing, Ahi’s style has evolved over the last 10 years, incorporating all of the experiences and lessons from traveling and working with other amazing artist.
